About Me
-
We’re born into relationships and systems. Our problems, and what we’ve experienced in life, are interconnected with the world around us. Understanding and working through our struggles means also recognizing the histories and systems that impact us.
Therapy offers us a space to slow down and listen to all of ourselves — including the parts that haven’t been tended to and that have been subdued by guilt, shame, marginalization, or fear. We can explore what we carry, identify contributors to our distress, and connect with more liberating possibilities for moving through the world.

People who are:
Feeling overwhelmed by trauma, loss, and/or hardship
Struggling with intimacy and connection after experiences of harm or rupture
Seeking more belonging and authenticity in their lives
Confronting systems that depress and anger them
Thinking about death or suicide
-
I draw primarily from what are called “psychodynamic” and “relational” therapies, although I use other approaches as needed. This basically means that I (a) approach people and their concerns as intertwined with their relationships and environments; (b) view our inner worlds as sometimes messy, contradictory, and not always immediately clear to us; and (c) take seriously our relationship as a (partial) window into your world and a possible vehicle for experiencing yourself in new ways.
My role is not to “correct” something about you. I’m here to assist you in feeling more free in who you are, rooted in yourself, and strengthened in contending with the world.
